Our group activities are free of charge and foster an inclusive environment that encourages all group members to achieve their goals whether they are competitive age-groupers or first timers.

We share a belief that running and cycling can be lifelong activities when pursued with balance.

These group runs are a great way to meet running buddies or training partners for other times or days of the week

Our advisory team shares their experience and offers advice to those who are interested.

Saturday Morning Group Run
Our weekly Group Runs are every Saturday at 8:00am at the Grand Army Plaza entrance of Prospect Park. You can find running mates for various distances ranging from 3-18+ miles. We have routes that include going over the Brooklyn Bridge, returning via the Manhattan Bridge; or, we might head south toward Coney Island. We have a route up the Westside Highway; we travel to Central Park, and, we have runs that explore other areas of our Prospect Park neighborhood. The group sets the tone and determines the route when we gather -- paces vary from 7 to 12 minute milers. Join us for the run, or even just part of it. All paces and distances welcome!

Wednesday Evening Fun Run
Join every Wednesday evening for a Fun Run loop around the Park. Some use it as a light day, others for fartlek training and for a few it's a standing time trial. We meet at 7:15pm at the Grand Army Plaza entrance of Prospect Park. After the run, we go out for a beer to quench our thirst. All paces welcome!

Tuesday Speed Workouts
For runners with a good endurance base, we have both a daytime and evening session for interval - or speed - workouts. Planned by our advisors and facilitated by group members, speed training is the way to build strength and lower personal records. The evening group convenes at Grand Army Plaza, 7:15pm. The daytime group times vary, according to the needs of the group.

Friday Cross Train: Cycling
For runners looking for company while relieving the pounding on your legs, or runners thinking about trying a triathlon, or maybe the bike is your next challenge -- we meet regularly on Friday mornings for rides around Prospect Park. Times and distances vary.
